The Eco Energi Vision
At Eco Energi we envisage a situation where each house in the UK becomes a ‘mini-power station’ with renewable energy sources fulfilling all the house’s energy needs, and energy being shared within communities. This would remove the need for an expensive national grid, remove the threat of terrorist attacks on power stations and most importantly, dramatically reduce carbon emissions. Power cuts would be a thing of the past, we would no longer live in fear of further energy price rises due to the political situation in countries that we have no control over, and we would never have another energy bill.
Rainwater would be harvested; recycled rather than drinking water would be used in toilets and for washing; hose pipe bans would be a distant memory.
It’s all possible, but if we are to reverse global warming and avoid catastrophic climate change we have to act right now (some experts predict that if greenhouse gas emissions continue at present levels for just 2-3 years then the global temperature will increase to a level that will make drastic climate change unavoidable).
